This site uses no cookies
We install no first-party or third-party cookies. We use no tracking pixels, no advertising or remarketing tools, and no social media buttons.
We do measure how many people visit the site and where they come from, but without cookies and without third parties: the measurement tool (Matomo) runs on our own server, sends nothing to Google or any other company, and stores nothing whatsoever in your browser. That is why this policy still states that the site uses no cookies.
The only thing this site stores in your browser is one local-storage entry holding your decision about external typefaces, so we do not ask again on every visit:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
orp.consent |
Local storage First-party · not a cookie |
Records your decision and the date you made it, as proof of consent. | Until you delete it or change your decision. |
That entry identifies no one, is never sent to any server and never leaves your device. It is exempt from consent as it is essential to provide the service you requested: remembering that you already answered.
How we measure audience
Because nothing is stored on your device, this measurement falls outside article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI and requires no consent. We explain it anyway, because the Spanish Data Protection Agency's guidance on audience-measurement tools requires that you be informed:
- Where it runs: on our own server. The data never leaves it and no third party has access to it.
- What it records: pages viewed, referring site, device type and approximate country. None of this identifies you.
- Your IP address is anonymised before storage: the last two blocks are discarded, so it cannot be reconstructed.
- No cookies or persistent identifiers: the system uses a technical fingerprint that changes daily, so you cannot be followed from one day to the next.
- Retention: raw data is deleted after thirteen months, with no automatic extension. What is kept beyond that is only aggregated, anonymous counts containing no individual visits.
- Single purpose: knowing how many people visit. It is never cross-matched with other processing, builds no profiles and is not used for advertising.
- If you would rather not be counted, switch on your browser's Do Not Track signal: we honour it and your visit is not recorded.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in the user's browser in order to retrieve information about their browsing. It can be used to remember preferences, keep a session open, measure audiences or build advertising profiles.
Requests to external services
This site displays its text using typefaces hosted on Google Fonts. Loading them involves a request to a Google server that communicates your IP address, so they are not loaded until you authorise it. If you decline, the site displays using the typefaces installed on your device and no third party is contacted.
| Service | Purpose | Data communicated | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Fonts Google LLC (USA) |
Loading the Libre Bodoni, Public Sans and JetBrains Mono typefaces. | IP address and technical browser data, at the moment of loading. Installs no cookies. | Your consent, revocable at any time. |
You can review how Google processes that data in its privacy policy, and the details of this communication in our Privacy policy.
Technical recommendation not yet applied: self-hosting the typefaces would remove this request and, with it, the need to ask permission at all.
How to control cookies in your browser
Although this site does not use them, you can configure how your browser handles cookies from any website at any time:
Private or incognito browsing additionally prevents the history being kept on the device — worth considering if you are consulting this site from a shared computer.
Revoking or changing your decision
You can change your choice at any time, with no consequences, from the “Privacy settings” link in the footer of any page on this site, or from the button above.
Declining is as easy as accepting and restricts access to no content: the only difference is the typeface the site is displayed in.
You can also clear this site's local storage from your browser settings; we will then ask again on your next visit.
Changes to this policy
Should any cookie or measurement tool be introduced in future, this policy would be updated before it is activated, its category added to the settings panel, and prior consent obtained where the rules require it. Nothing will load without permission.
